Klausur/Examination  HCI (Pinatti/Pipek)

Im Masterstudiengang HCI (Human Computer Interaction) besteht das Modul HCI aus den beiden Veranstaltungen HCI und UDX (User Experience Design). In unisono ist die Modulprüfung in diesem Modul als EIN Element angelegt und bezieht sich gleichzeitig auf beide Veranstaltungen HCI und  UXD. Daher kann in unisono eine Anmeldung nur zu der Modulprüfung, nicht aber zu einer Teilprüfung zu einer der beiden Veranstaltungen erfolgen. Ebenso kann das Prüfungsamt keine Note zu einer Teilprüfung erfassen, sondern nur zur Modulprüfung. Die derzeitige praktische Durchführung der Prüfung – Teilprüfung zu der Veranstaltung HCI im Wintersemester und Teilprüfung zur Veranstaltung UXD im Sommersemester – entspricht somit nicht direkt der Implementierung in unisono. Dies führt zu verschiedenen Komplikationen sowie zu Unklarheiten, die wir nachfolgend beseitigen möchten.

Studierende, die im Wintersemester 2018/19 mit der Modulprüfung HCI beginnen, indem sie an der Klausur zur Veranstaltung HCI teilnehmen, melden sich zur Modulprüfung HCI (95721) an. Die Studierenden können frei entscheiden, ob sie an der Klausur in der ersten Prüfungsperiode (13.02.2019) oder an der Klausur in der zweiten Prüfungsperiode (26.03.2019) teilnehmen möchten. Die Anmeldung zur Klausur erfolgt durch die Online-Anmeldung zur Modulprüfung, bei welcher in unisono das entsprechende Datum angezeigt wird (die Anmeldungen zu den Prüfungen der zweiten Prüfungsperiode werden voraussichtlich zum 23.02.2019 freigeschaltet). Es ist aber (im Fall, dass die erste Klausur nicht bestanden worden ist, oder zu einer Notenverbesserung) nicht möglich, an der ersten UND der zweiten Klausur teilzunehmen. Die unisono-Anmeldung zur Modulprüfung HCI im Wintersemester 2018/19 gilt – neben der Anmeldung zu einer der beiden Teilklausuren HCI im Wintersemester 2018/19 –  automatisch auch als Anmeldung zur Teilprüfung UXD im Sommersemester 2019.

Studierende, die sich im Sommersemester 2018 zur Modulprüfung HCI angemeldet und an der Teilprüfung UXD teilgenommen haben, können sich in unisono nicht erneut für die Modulprüfung HCI anmelden, sondern gelten als angemeldet für die Teilprüfung HCI im Wintersemester 2018/19. Da jedoch auf der Grundlage der unisono-Anmeldung im Sommersemester 2018 nicht ersichtlich ist, an welcher der beiden Teilklausuren die betreffenden Studierenden teilnehmen möchten, bitten wir diese Studierenden, eine E-Mail an das Prüfungsamt mit Angabe des Klausurtermins (13.02.2019 oder 23.03.2019) zu schicken.

Wenn beide Teilprüfungen absolviert sind, fassen die beiden Prüfer die beiden Teilnoten zu EINER Note zusammen und melden die Modulnote dem Prüfungsamt.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass auch die Module 1 und 3 aus 2 Veranstaltungen bestehen. In diesen beiden Modulen gibt es es im Gegensatz zu Modul 2 aber EINE Klausur für beide Veranstaltung. Es ist nicht möglich, die Modulprüfung aufzuspalten, z.B. eine Teilprüfung eines Moduls in der ersten Prüfungsperiode und die zweite Teilprüfung dieses Moduls zur zweiten Prüfungsperiode oder eine Teilprüfung in diesem und die andere Teilprüfung im nächsten Jahr.

In the Master course of study „Human Computer Interaction“ (HCI) the module HCI consists of the two lectures HCI and UXD (User Experience Design). In the campus management system unisono the module examination HCI is implemented as ONE single examination. This examination refers to both lectures HCI and UXD. Therefore, in unisono the registration is only possible for the module examination, and you cannot register for an examination for the lecture HCI or an examination for the lecture UXD. Similarly, the examination office only can book the grade for the module examination, and not the grade for a part of the module examination. But the current practice in this module is not to conduct a module examination, but to conduct an examination for only HCI in the winter semester and an examination for only UXD in the summer semester. This sometimes leads to some confusion which we want to clear in the following.

If you begin with the module examination HCI in the winter semester 2018/19 by attending the examination for the lecture HCI, then you must register in unisono for the module examination HCI (95721). You can freely decide if you want to attend the written examination at the first examination period on 13.02.2019 or at the second examination period on 26.03.2019. (Please note that you cannot register in unisono for the second examination period before 23.02.2019.) But it is not possible (in case you fail the examination at the first period or want to improve the grade) to attend the examination at the first AND the second period. Your registration in unisono for the module examination in the winter semester 2018/19 automatically also implies the registration for the examination for the lecture UXD in the summer semester 2019.

If you already have registered in unisono for the module examination HCI in the summer semester 2018 and attended the examination for the lecture UXD, then for technical reasons you cannot register for the module examination again. But the registration in the summer semester 2018 also counts as registration for the examination for the lecture HCI in the winter semester 2018/19. But because we cannot know which of the two examination you want to attend, please tell the examination office by sending an email (pruefungsamt@wiwi.uni-siegen.de) which examination you want to attend.

After you have finished both parts of the module examination the examiners will merge the two grades into one single grade for the module examination and report the grade to the examination office.

Note that also in the modules 1 and 3 there are two different lectures. But in contrast to the module HCI, in modules 1 and 3 there is one single examination for both lectures. It is not allowed to split, for example to attend the examination for only one lecture at the first and for only the other lecture at the second examination period, or one part this year and the other part next year.
